Sheriff of the Year
The award is intended to recognize a SC Sheriff who has performed the duties of his office in the highest, professional manner, brining exceptional service to their community, and enhances the Office of Sheriff.

Deputy of the Year
The award is intended to recognize the outstanding Deputy who has shown exemplary performance of his/her duties over the course of the last year.

Detention Officer of the Year
The award is intended to recognize the outstanding Detention Officer who has shown exemplary performance of his/her duties over the course of the last year.

Presented at Winter Conference

Medal of Valor Award 
This award is given to any Deputy Sheriff who performs actions above and beyond the call of duty; and exhibiting exceptional courage, extraordinary decisiveness, and presence of mind; or an unusual swiftness of action, regardless of his or her personal safety, to save or protect human life.

SCSA Awards Recognition Program
The South Carolina Sheriffs' Association Awards Program recognizes and awards outstanding performance of a deputy sheriff or citizen in a variety of areas. A request for award recognition along with pertinent details must be submitted to the SCSA Executive Director for approval.
