The award is intended to recognize the outstanding Deputy who has shown exemplary performance of his/her duties over the course of the last year. Years of service area is a consideration but not the sole determining factor.

Sheriffs are asked to submit nominations on an annual basis by completing this online form and providing all pertinent details and submitting electronic documentation to support the nomination.

The recipients are awarded at the Awards Banquet held during the SCSA Annual Conference, Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
